The merger will enable The Chamwell Centre Charity (Chamwell) to continue its invaluable work of providing much needed services to children and adults with disabilities in Gloucestershire, all under the umbrella of SAND Academies Trust (SAND).

Under the guidance of Associate Ben Adams (Corporate) and Emily Arnold (Employment), BPE played a critical role in providing legal expertise and guidance to Chamwell throughout the merger process. BPE’s commitment to excellence and deep understanding of the charity’s needs ensured a smooth and successful transaction for both Chamwell and SAND.
Dame Janet Trotter, director of Chamwell said:

“Mergers are always complicated and have their own special characteristics and challenges. It was good to have Ben and the BPE team alongside us as we made crucial decisions in the best interests of our clients and partners.”

Ben Adams, Associate at BPE Solicitors, stated:

“We are delighted to have played a role in the successful merger. This is a significant development for both organisations, and I wish both the best for the future.”

The deal caps off a fantastic month for BPE’s corporate department, which was recently awarded Corporate Law Firm of the Year at the 2023 Insider South West Dealmakers Awards.
