BPE’s Private Wealth team retains ranking for fifth consecutive year
With client testimonials describing the team as “efficient” and “client focussed”, and most importantly, “able to simplify complex legal issues and explain the consequences of decisions taken”; it’s no surprise that this dedicated team have maintained their Tier Two status for so long.
Their outstanding reputation within the Gloucestershire area and further afield is due to their relationships with a multitude of clients, business professionals and fellow lawyers.
Head of Private Wealth, Sam Thornton commented: “Since joining BPE in February 2023, it has been brilliant working alongside a team of such attentive and client-centric individuals. BPE’s Private Wealth offering is of very high quality and we’re pleased to be recognised for it in this way. It is great to showcase the strength and depth within our private client service thanks to Chambers & Partners globally recognised seal of approval.”
At the launch of this year’s High Net Worth directory, Chambers and Partners discussed the state of the private wealth market and what we can expect in the coming months and years. A hot topic of conversation included the upcoming abolition of the current remittance basis of taxation for UK resident non-domiciled individuals. Chambers & Partners and a number of Private Wealth lawyers are predicting that fewer international wealth individuals will move to the UK as a result.
Thornton added to this: “A change in government inevitably creates uncertainty for those considering how best to pass wealth to the next generation - taking timely advice from recognised experts in the field continues to be of the upmost importance”.
