Following the news of the High Net Worth Chambers guide launch earlier this year, in which BPE’s Private Wealth team maintained its Tier 2 ranking, we are pleased to announce that the rest of our submitted teams have also maintained their rankings in the UK guide launch for 2024.
Once again, our Corporate team achieved a prestigious Tier 2 position, with the directory describing the team as holding ‘a strong focus on acting for growth companies throughout all stages of development’.
Senior Partner, John Workman, continues to be named as an Eminent Practitioner, with Anthony Rudge gaining a Band 3 position for his regular work for AIM-listed companies.
BPE’s Corporate & Commercial team, led by Kathryn King, welcomed several new team members over the course of 2024, including Laurence Twiselton as a Partner in Corporate, and Simon Gale as a Partner in Commercial. The team have worked on a number of sizeable transactions throughout 2024, including the sale of Creed Foodservices Ltd for up to £70 million.
This is mirrored by our Commercial Property team, who retained their Band 4 position, with Chambers noting their ‘broad capabilities in a range of commercial property matters, with particular strength in retail and leisure property work’.
Under Team Leader, Douglas Armstrong, the department have followed an upward trajectory, with some notable deals since the time of their submission that will certainly be appearing in their submission for 2025.
Similarly banded in Tier 4, Doug was celebrated for his professionalism and reliability, with clients quoted as describing how “Doug offers great support” and “[…] has a superb ability to connect with clients of all different backgrounds”.
Further to this, the Employment team at BPE have also achieved their Tier 4 ranking once more. Under Team Leader Sarah Lee, the team were noted for their array of services in a vast number of areas, including ‘high-profile cases in the Employment Appeal Tribunal, the High Court and the Court of Appeal’.
