BPE Solicitors acts again for Neptune Rum

Cheltenham-based BPE Solicitors has acted again for the owners of the multi-award winning, Neptune Rum, on a recent round of investments, continuing a long-standing relationship between owners James Strickland and Ray Pugh, and BPE’s Corporate team.

Neptune Rum Limited, owned by James Strickland and Raymond Pugh, received an injection of capital from new investor Babco Invest Co Limited, showing confidence in the highly popular Barbados Gold Rum which is distributed both nationally and internationally. Shaw & Co Advisory Ltd advised Neptune Rum.

Senior Partner John Workman, who worked with James and Raymond on the initial purchase of the business in 2020, advised again on the investments with Associate, Kathryn King, supporting on the transaction.

On these investments, Raymond Pugh Director of Neptune Rum commented, “We have known and worked with John Workman for many years so there was no doubt in our minds about who we wanted to advise us on this round of investments. What we need is for the deal to be done pragmatically, commercially and quickly, and that is what John and his team at BPE consistently deliver”.
