BPE Solicitors advises National Theatre on Madame Kalamazoo project

The IT and Cyber Team at Gloucestershire based BPE Solicitors has advised the National Theatre on their new Madame Kalamazoo app for children.

Featured yesterday on BBC Two’s Newsnight, Madame Kalamazoo will send daily stories to children featuring them as the main characters and will ask children to make and record stories and songs which they can exchange with other children online. Madame Kalamazoo will connect with children and encourage creativity throughout the summer holidays which may be more challenging while the country recovers from the coronavirus pandemic.

David Gray, from the IT and Cyber Team who acted, for the National Theatre, said, “This is a great initiative for children and will help to connect families while they can’t physically connect. I am proud that we were able to support the National Theatre in this way and help bring Madame Kalamazoo to life”.

Rebecca Thompson, General Counsel at the National Theatre said, “The help that Emma and David gave us was absolutely crucial, they brought clear, legal know-how in what was a new area for us, we are hugely grateful to them for helping us get this huge innovative project over the line’.
