BPE Solicitor runs the Cheltenham Half Marathon for Winston’s Wish
On Sunday 29 September, Louise Grzasko, Senior Associate at Top 200 law firm BPE Solicitors, completed the Cheltenham Half Marathon in aid of Winston’s Wish.
Louise ran the 13.1 mile route which begins and ends at the iconic Cheltenham Racecourse course in 2 hours 37 minutes raising over £750.
Louise chose to run for Winston’s Wish in recognition of the support the charity provides for children and their families after the death of a parent or sibling. Winston’s Wish is BPE’s charity of the year for 2019 and to recognise the effort made by Louise, the firm will also donate £500 to her fundraising, bringing the total to over £1,250.
On her first half marathon, Louise said: “This was a personal challenge for me as I had never run this far before. I am very grateful to everyone who has sponsored me as each donation gave me great encouragement and motivation to keep going. I hope that my fundraising can help the families who look to Winston’s Wish for support.”
Paul Moore, Head of Corporate & Community Engagement at Winston’s Wish, said: “We are very grateful to Louise and the rest of our fantastic supporters who chose to run for Winston’s Wish this year. The fundraising Louise has done will help make a real difference to the lives of grieving children, reminding them that bereavement is not the end of their story. We cheered on Louise every step of the way!”
