Successful CIPD seminar for BPE’s Employment team

More than 110 delegates attended an employment law seminar organised by the Gloucestershire branch of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) in collaboration with BPE Solicitors at Hatherley Manor on Wednesday 17 October.

Following an introduction from CIPD’s Simon Wall, a host of topics were covered by BPE’s specialist Employment team. These included the potential impact of Brexit on employment law, disciplinaries and grievances, the key principles of TUPE and recent case updates, a GDPR employment update, and a round up of 2018 cases and the lessons learnt from them.

“This is the seventh year running we’ve been involved with the CIPD Gloucestershire employment seminar and we’re delighted to have attracted 114 delegates which is our biggest attendance to date,” said Tim Gofton, Partner in BPE’s Employment team. “It’s really important that companies of all sizes keep up to date with how changes in employment law can affect them.

“Our Employment team has a broad range of experience and is able to offer helpful insight that ensures business are able to naviagate any potential issues. We’d like to say thank you to everyone that attended and to CIPD Gloucestershire for putting on the event.”
