Mum's the Word
The South West branch of The Association of Women in Property is launching a regular, free networking event for mums and mums-to-be in Cheltenham.
The events, to be held bi-monthly, will start in February and will be organised and coordinated by two Associate Solicitors at BPE – expectant mum Anna Wood and mother of one Emilie Sclater.
Aimed at working parents, expectant mums and those on maternity/paternity leave, the events will look to provide a neutral forum where parents can share their experiences of balancing work and family life, as well as discuss their thoughts and concerns about returning to the workplace.
Anna commented, “Events like these are already successfully running in Bristol and Plymouth but there’s nothing of the sort around Cheltenham. We want to provide an informal place for mums to meet up, children are welcome and there’s no obligation to stay for any specific length of time. Whether you want to come along for lunch, or just a drink and a chat, everyone is welcome.”
Emilie added, “We hope the events will provide an invaluable link back to professional life for working parents and those on maternity leave, making the return to work easier after time out of the office.”
The first event is planned for Tuesday 3rd February, between 12.45pm and 2.00pm at Après in Cheltenham.
If you would like any more information, or to attend the February event, please contact Anna Wood on anna.wood@bpe.co.uk or 01242 248215.
