BPE Solicitors completes acquisition of Stroud based Leigh Young
The move enables business clients and private individuals in Stroud and the Five Valleys to access high-calibre legal expertise in their locality. Leigh Young becomes BPE Stroud and continues to trade from One Rowcroft, headed by co-founder Cheryl Leigh who is now a Partner at BPE.
BPE’s Senior Partner John Workman says business is thriving across the Five Valleys, resulting in a growing need for commercial legal services. “The region is known for its industrious, entrepreneurial streak; qualities which we share and understand,” he explains. “We have a reputation for the effective support of young businesses that progress to become multimillion, multinational operations. Acquiring Leigh Young enables us to enrich our proven capabilities with inside knowledge of the Stroud area.”
Under Cheryl Leigh’s leadership, BPE Stroud will remain active in the local community. The popular RePLY business networking initiative co-founded by Leigh Young Solicitors and accountancy firm Randall & Payne will continue, with the next event scheduled for 22 September at Omega Resource Group.
“The Stroud team is feeling energised and invigorated by the change,” says Leigh. “BPE is a well-respected firm and there is a lot of synergy between us. We’re excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.”
The combined practice has offices in Cheltenham, Stroud and London. Leigh Young’s founder, Margaret Young leaves the firm to concentrate on other activities but will remain closely associated with the practice.
