BPE Solicitors to acquire Stroud based law firm, Leigh Young
Cheltenham based law firm, BPE has agreed terms to acquire Stroud Solicitors, Leigh Young, in a mutually beneficial deal which will create a business with a turnover in excess of £8m and give both businesses and private individuals greater choice in the legal services provided throughout the region.
BPE’s Senior Partner, John Workman said the deal would create an exceptional springboard for future growth. “Leigh Young approached us as they wanted to take their business further and felt that BPE could assist them in reaching out to a wider business audience. Joining forces with the team at Leigh Young gives us a real opportunity to work with the business community in Stroud, South Gloucestershire and the M5 Corridor.”
Leigh Young’s senior partner, Cheryl Leigh added: “We are very excited about this move and believe this collaboration will further enhance the quality and variety of legal expertise we offer our clients.”
Leigh Young’s founder, Margaret Young will be leaving the firm to concentrate on a range of other activities but will remain closely associated with the practice.
The combined practice will have offices in Cheltenham, Stroud and London. BPE Stroud will practice from Leigh Young’s current offices. The deal is due to be completed at the end of August.
BPE is a highly respected law firm in the South West and acts for a number of regional and national clients from start-ups and SMEs to large corporates and entrepreneurs.
“BPE is an entrepreneurial business and we enjoy working with likeminded businesses and individuals,” said John. We are not ‘just lawyers’, we’re trusted business advisers. We’ve retained clients for decades and supported young businesses to become multi million pound, multi-national operations. Leigh Young gives us an opportunity to reach a wider business audience and also to grow our increasingly important private client offering.”
