Classic Car Litigation
Philip Radford is head of Commercial Litigation at BPE Solicitors, with over twenty five years' experience in law and more than thirty five years as a classic car enthusiast.
Philip’s passion for classic cars began when he was just 11 years old, when his father purchased a recent MOT failed, but shiny, duck egg blue Austin A35 saloon. After spending years driving the fields of Wiltshire and participating in his schools’ motor car display team. He took and failed his first driving test for "general discourtesy" to other road users and whilst Philip’s courtesy has increased since then, his love of classic cars hasn’t waned.
He has since rebuilt two MG Midgets; the last one which he has owned for the last 21 years; and a Colorado Red Austin Healey Frog Eyed Sprite. He has owned and maintained an MGB Roadster and a Mk 1 BMW Series 3 Bauer convertible. He has also owned the modern classic Mercedes E320 Cabrio and the outstandingly designed and beautiful 2004 Maserati Quatroporte.
He currently owns, and uses as his regular daily transport, another beautiful Italian design, but english built Triumph Stag. He has also taken part in the Aviva Classic and chanced his luck on the Prescott Hill Climb.
As a dedicated litigation lawyer and trained mediator, Philip has married his specialist knowledge of classic cars with his long-standing career as a litigator, advising clients involved in classic car disputes.
