JSJS Designs enter into licensing agreement with Electrium Sales Limited
JSJS Designs plc has announced it has entered into a licensing agreement with Electrium Sales Limited ("Electrium"), the UK consumer electronics division of Siemens AG. The agreement concluded a lengthy period of negotiations where JSJS were supported throughout by BPE.
JSJS develops home automation systems to enable consumers to operate everyday household appliances such as lighting, heating, air conditioning, door entry, audio, video and security remotely by using an iphone or other smartphone applications.
Electrium will now re-sell JSJS products under the Siemens brand exclusively to the Kingfisher group, which includes household names such as B&Q.
As a result of the announcement the JSJS share price had, as at 10 May 2011, jumped 16.1% to 0.9p per share.
The BPE team was led by commercial partner Iain Garfield who said "the agreement with Electrium brings to end a long period of negotiation in which BPE was heavily involved and represents an exciting opportunity for JSJS to make their products available to the wider market".
